Frequently Asked Questions
What is Net Impact Central looking for in Fellows?
The Net Impact Fellowship was created to support emerging leaders in creating real impact on the cohort topic – either through measurably educating peers or creating lasting institutional change on campus. We are looking for individuals who have an initial project vision (don’t worry, we’ll help you evolve and refine it), and are committed to participating fully in the Fellowship from project ideation to completion. If you want to use your fellowship to build on a project that is very well established, then this Fellowship may not be for you.
Will I get paid to participate in this Fellowship Program?
You will receive free Net Impact Conference registration, funding to complete an action project on your campus, virtual leadership development training, and access to a cohort of like-minded peers. You will not receive compensation for participating in the Fellowship program.
What if I want to be a Fellow but I can't attend the Net Impact Conference?
It is important for all Fellows to attend the Net Impact Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, October 25-27. The Conference is an amazing opportunity to meet the other Fellows, develop your action projects, and get inspired by industry experts. If it is not possible for you to attend, exceptions may be made.
How much of a time commitment is it to be a Fellow?
The Fellowship runs from October 2018 - April 2019. Fellows on average spend 2-5 hours per week participating in cohort activities and working on their project but this varies greatly depending on the time of year and the scope of the project.
